This has damn near killed me. This has been through hell and back with revisions, but I think it's finally coming along. The shadows used to be blue and it looked awful, but this seems to capture the mood better. (Also rediscovered a fun brush) The colors make sense, the value is looking good, and for what the client asked for, I think I'm doing it justice. Future/past war things are the bane of my existence. At least I have the opportunity to face my fears.
Found a pic on tumblr that was pretty cool that I used for ref and I'm in a bit of a rut after working hardcore the other day. This sort of helped. I've been wanting to sit and make an illustration for myself lately, but I'm not sure what to do. I'll think of something, eventually.
Walk on a rainbow trail; walk on a trail of song, and all about you will be beauty. There is a way out of every dark mist, over a rainbow trail. ~Robert Motherwell
I found a new brush set yesterday and I wanted to take it on a test run. It's kind of a mess, but for a free for all I don't think it's so bad. Desert lighting is confusing without proper reference, but at the very least now I know what not to do.
